1999 Gretsch White Falcon
1999 Gretsch White Falcon

-Hand Made- Custom Shop Professional Series!

1999 (Pre-Fender) G6136  S# 999136-xxx    $2,999.-
(This one is Museum, Investment Grade quality)

Perfect! "LIKE NEW CONDITION" w/Gretsch HSC

These "CUSTOM HAND MADE" FALCONS with the 998xxx & 999xxx Serial Numbers were offered in
1998 and 1999, but prices were so astronomical that few were sold.

The normal production run White Falcons will have JT- prefix Serial Numbers stamped on the
back of the  headstock. They are still Great Guitars, but not nearly as rare or as collectable
as the Hand Made Custom Shop ones.

The Hand Made Custom Shop Guitars will NOT have the "JT-" prefix stamped on the back of the headstock.
The serial # will be on label inside guitar.

=NOTE=
I took it to the Gretsch Expert at Fuller's Custom Guitars. He said that the  guitar was a special run  from the Terada, Japan "Custom Shop." Interestingly enough, he had a video of White Falcon's  being made - completely by hand -  in the Terada factory.  Quite impressive.
He stated that the guitars  without the JT pre-fix were  "custom shop". He said the  999 serial number series were from a limited  run that were considered to be re-issues,  true to the original styles, that is why they put the  "Cadillac" tailpiece on instead of the  cheaper "G" Gretsch tailpiece. He pulled one of those down off  the rack and we  compared, and there is definitely a noticeable difference, this one being the higher  quality of the two!
